The Alzheimer’s Compass: Directions for Lifestyles & Living is the theme of Alzheimer’s Services of the Capital Area’s 25th Annual Education Conference on Alzheimer’s Disease & Dementia, which will feature experts in dementia care.
This year's keynote speaker is Cameron J. Camp, Ph.D, Developer of Montessori Methods for Dementia. He will present on Pathways to Care. The conference will also feature the following experts:
W. Patrick Gahan, M.D., FACP, will present on current research and therapeutic advances. Katherine S. Verberne, LCSW, will present on communicating well and being proactive in caregiving. Gina Rossi, LCSW, will facilitate a panel on Alzheimer’s care in Louisiana. Panelists include: Tara Leblanc; Kenneth A. Gaddis, M. D.; Andrew Muhl; Dana Territo; and, Wanda Spurlock, DNS, RN-BC, CNE, FNGNA, FAAN.
The Alzheimer’s Compass: Directions for Lifestyles & Living aims to increase the knowledge of how to care for someone with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory-related impairments. The conference will gather a large group of caregivers and healthcare professionals experiencing similar difficulties with opportunities to network and gather information from local resources in dementia care.
